With reference to Sir Gilbert Grindle's letter

of the 20th May 1922 (Ref. No.23513/22), I am directed to

state that the Board of Education have decided to recommend

Mr. Edward Thomas Vincent for appointment as Lecturer in

Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong.

Particulars of Mr. Vincent's qualifications and experience

will be found in the attached papers.

Professor A. G. Warren was a member of the

Selection Committee on this occasion.
